It can be tolerable in a chat with the right people, but mostly it just bores me and I don't even feel like I achieved anything when it is all said and done. I also don't enjoy boosting or boost crews, in general. I don't have any desire to play games that I know won't hold my attention for profile credibility alone.
#BIG GAME TROPHY HUNTER PC GAME SERIAL#
I don't really get into the serial boosting and profile competitions that many do though which I think is a large contributor to trophy hunting burnout. Sometimes a game will have a grindy trophy that annoys me, but most of the time it doesn't really bother me to just listen to some music or a documentary while grinding it out. I try to stick with games I think I'll like to begin with so that helps. I don't really view trophy hunting as a chore most of the time. Otherwise, in cases like Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, Bioshock games, The Last of Us, the Uncharted games, etc I'll just play without going out of my way for trophies. If I enjoy the game and the plat or 100% is not tedious in anyway, then I'll go for it.

This is kind of the approach I've started to take to trophy hunting now, as mentioned in my reply to nick above this same post. if you are not having fun then don't game. You may take a huge completion percentage hit but at the end of the day we are all different and enjoy things our own ways. My suggestion would be that you should stop focusing on completing every game you play and just do it for games that you really enjoy. Things like that really get boring and take away the fun factor in games. Such an amazing and fun game but all the trophies require you to grind a stupid amount of kills. Another example of this would be Gauntlet : Slayer Edition. Helldivers is a great game, i loved it but the unnecessary grinding for the DLC Trophy is unneeded. Trophies are a huge part of my gaming but it takes a lot of the enjoyment away from games most of the time.Įspecially games which require you to grind.

#BIG GAME TROPHY HUNTER PC GAME TRIAL#
I never finished Bioshock Infinite since it was a PS Now trial on an alt account, but if I had played these games with trophies in mind I would not of been able to enjoy them or play them how I want to play them. As two examples, I loved Bioshock Infinite and Batman Arkham Asylum playing those with no intention of getting plat. Luckily I can ignore the urge for very long period before caving in. Something keeps giving me the urge to want to worry about trophies even when I plan not too.
The problem is that ever since I started trophy hunting I cannot seem to swear it off forever. I've discovered over the years that I enjoy gaming more when I game the way I did before trophies existed. It makes me feel like I'm doing more work rather than enjoying myself, especially when you have to constantly reference a guide to avoid messing up your plat and/or play the game a specific way that isn't how you would normally play it. The reason for this is because I often times find that I lose enjoyment for gaming when I have to worry about trophies all the time, especially in games with missable trophies, requiring numerous playthroughs, or simply pointless trophies requiring bigger grinds than anything in the game itself requires. My total cumulative trophy hunting time hasn't even been over a year, referring to 'intentional' trophy hunting. Basically since I first trophy hunted in 2009, I tend to trophy hunt anywhere from 1 week to 3 months at a time, then quit for many months or over a year before I do another short burst of hunting.
